A good quote names the exact product and the terms under which it can be delivered. This checklist helps you give suppliers enough detail to price the right system and compare their replies.
Before requesting a quote
- Define the workload: training, inference, visualization, or another use.
- Estimate required GPU memory and total GPU count.
- Specify the form factor or OEM server model if you already have one.
- State the delivery location and target date.
- Record facility limits for rack space, power, cooling, and networking.
- Say whether you need manufacturer support, on-site service, or installation.
For B200: NVIDIA's HGX reference architecture lists 180 GB HBM3e per B200 GPU in an eight-GPU baseboard. NVIDIA says the baseboard can pair with air or liquid cooling. The OEM server model determines which cooling method and facility requirements apply.
Request these details from each supplier

Ask whether the quoted server has been validated by its OEM with the proposed GPUs, networking, and cooling. A GPU module price is not a complete system price.
Before placing an order
- Match the part numbers and configuration to the written quote.
- Confirm the facility can power and cool that specific OEM server.
- Confirm the delivery window and who carries freight risk.
- Read warranty, RMA, and return terms before paying.
- Verify the seller and payment instructions independently.
If multiple suppliers quote different chassis or support levels, normalize those differences before choosing on price.
